The Product Media Association (PMA) continues to offer training courses through our PMA Academy in autumn 2026 for our members and others in the industry. The next course will be organized in collaboration with the Nordic Textile Academy in September. Join us!
The Nordic Textile Academy has been providing expertise to the Swedish textile industry since 1986. The training is offered live, which also gives participants the opportunity to ask questions. PART 3 - CIRCULAR PRODUCT DESIGN
September 10th, 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM (approx. 120 minutes)
The course will be led by Ingrid Grankvist, Head of Design at the Nordic Textile Academy. She will cover circular principles in design and product development, focusing on material selection, construction, and labeling to promote product longevity, reuse, and recycling.
Circular material selection, focusing on monomaterials and materials that facilitate reuse and recycling.
Circular product design, considering longevity, disassembly, repairability, and resource efficiency.
Placement and selection of markings, labels, and information on products to support use, care, repair, and extended lifespan.
The importance of labeling and product information from a sustainability and circularity perspective.
The connection between design decisions, material selection, and a product's environmental impact throughout its entire lifecycle.
