The Product Media Association (PMA) continues to offer training through our PMA Academy for our members and others in the industry throughout the autumn of 2026. The second course of the autumn is organized in collaboration with the Nordic Textile Academy in October. Join us!
The Nordic Textile Academy has been providing expertise to the Swedish textile industry since 1986. The training is offered live in Swedish, which also gives you as a participant the opportunity to ask questions. Sign up for the course and fill in your details via our registration form below. Price? The training costs SEK 1,995 per person + VAT. Members receive a 50% discount. There are a maximum of 25 spots available, as we want to keep the group size manageable for our discussions! First come, first served! If PMA notices that spots fill up quickly and there is sufficient interest and need, we will organize more courses about PPWR in the spring.
PART 4 - THE PACKAGING REGULATION
October 19 at 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM, approx. 120 minutes
The course is led by Lena Berger-Andersson, Subject Lead for Sustainability at the Nordic Textile Academy. As a participant, you will receive an overview of the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and what it means for manufacturers, importers and distributors.
We will go through the division of responsibilities between the different roles, how packaging is labeled, and the similarities and differences involved. Using a concrete company example, we will also gain insight into how the regulations can be applied in practice. We will take a closer look at how the company operates, what they are subject to, and the obstacles and opportunities they identify. We will also touch upon supervision, guidelines that are not yet fully clear, and what it is like to operate in the gray area between regulations and individual interpretations. The training concludes with a discussion and exchange of experiences among the participants.
