New association to strengthen the product media industry!

The industry is taking an important step forward! PWA now welcomes both suppliers and retailers within the Produktmediabrchen as members. This is possible because our members decided by a large majority to amend the current bylaws and open up, also to dealers to a unified trade association and to jointly strengthen and develop our industry into the future.

Already in autumn 2023, the Boards of Directors of SBPR and PWA met to discuss how they, as associations, can jointly contribute to the development and strengthening of the product media industry in Sweden in the future. An information meeting was held for the members at Textile Fashion Center in Borås/Teams in December and since then the respective association has had two additional votes. The PWA has changed its bylaws and is now also opening up to dealers, both former SBPR members and others who want to be involved in developing the industry into the future.

What happens now?

Right now, SBPR is working on winding down the association and ending the practical parts of its operations. The decision was taken at the SBPR's annual meeting on April 3 earlier this year. Meanwhile, the PWA is already in full swing and preparing to welcome new members. In the fall, the PWA's new board of directors will shape a vision for the association's future and new name. The new board consists of chairman Roger Nilsson, board members Håkan Pettersson (former Tg-H), Per Lundström (Midocean), Johan Strand (Fruit Distribution), Oskar Dahlin (Vinga), Lars Rubensson (Prident), Robert Lindström (Company Line) and deputy board member Marika Dahlén (Dahléns Konfektion). If you are interested in being part of this strong and future-oriented organization, please contact PWA Chairman Roger Nilsson, roger.nilsson@pwa.se or PWA Project Manager Maria Olsson, maria@pwa.se

That said, our hope is that we can gather as many members as possible within the Product Media industry so that we become united, strong, credible and professional as an industry with the future ahead of us.
