PWA grows and changes its name to PMA!

Product Media Association (PMA) is the new name for the industry association in product media. This was announced at a membership meeting held by PWA on 13 March at Textile Fashion Center in Borås. During the meeting, the industry association's vision, business plan, a training program - a so-called CSRD academy and some future partners were also presented.

PMA will work to grow the overall product media market by:

Work to support marketing and brand building for the industry
Representing the association and actively lobbying the authorities
Increase knowledge of the importance of the industry by offering trainings
Conducting industry surveys to increase knowledge of product media and its importance to customers
Promote the organization of fairs, etc., for the members of the association
Collaborate with other industry associations, companies, associations or organizations to develop the industry

PMA will organize a CSRD academy (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) starting in April 2025. Members will be offered free training that includes comprehensive information on directives but also in-depth training in, for example, GSPR (General Safety and Performance Requirements). PMA also continues to work together with the Nordic Textile Academy, which is a hub for education and competence in textiles to disseminate up-to-date knowledge about textile sustainability, laws and regulations.

The previous SBPR cooperation with DHL continues, but is renegotiated in 2024 with a newly signed PMA agreement. Representatives from DHL freight were present at the membership meeting. Unitedprofile was also present and presented the benefits of a new collaboration that will be a digital resource to help all players grow together with PMA in different areas.

Following its charter change in September, the PMA has grown by 23 members and currently consists of 84 member companies, suppliers and retailers, working on products designed to strengthen the brands and brand profiles of end customers. A complete list of members can be found at www.productmediaassociation.com

Product Media Association's hope is that we can gather as many members as possible within the Product Media industry so that we become united, strong, credible and professional as an industry with the future ahead of us. If you are interested in membership, please contact: PMA Project Manager Maria Olsson, maria@productmediaassociation.com or PMA Chairman Roger Nilsson, roger@productmediaassociation.com
